ABOUT ME
Growing up with my Dad and other family relatives playing in the NHL, I fell in love with hockey instantly. I was fortunate enough to have a successful career with team and individual accomplishments. Along the way I played at levels varying from Mite hockey with the Lansing Capitals to the Collegiate level at Hope College.
I knew once my time at Hope College was finished so was my playing career. Though it was a tough decision, it was the right one. Like every young hockey player, my dream was playing in the NHL. But an internship with the Vegas Golden Knights opened my eyes to a new path that seemed like the perfect match for me. I was able to shadow at the time General Manager, George McPhee, on a daily basis; allowing me to see an NHL organization’s hockey operations team behind the scenes compared to just watching a NHL game. This experience allowed me to come up with a new goal for my hockey career; to become an NHL general manager.
I had interviews lined up with NHL teams for possible scouting jobs, but the pandemic put the NHL on job freeze. With not knowing what to do. I turned to coaching with my Dad and his Meijer AAA Hockey 15U team, as well as coaching with the Meijer AAA Hockey 18U team that I had played for before committing to Hope College.
As an assistant coach I started breaking down video of our prior games and our upcoming teams we would play. With that came the opportunity to start doing private on ice sessions and video sessions with players that my Dad or I have worked with before with our summer camps. As a player, I always wanted to find different ways to get better because I knew at times I needed another opinion other than my own.
Now I want to return the favor to hockey players. That’s why I am here creating this business, to help the next generation of hockey players excel on the ice.
